Description
Our Qur’an school began life as Solihull Qur’an Academy, opening in 2009, and has since grown in both size, reputation and standards of achievement.
New students to Arabic, of all ages, begin with studying the Qaida, working in small groups of similar abilities, with no more than a 1:8 teacher:pupil ratio. They will have individual time with their teacher and have homework each week.
Upon celebrating their completion of the Qaida with a good level of confidence reading Qur’anic Arabic, students progress onto our Tajweed class. They read from the mus’haf, focussing on Juzz Amma, are taught the rules of recitation and some tafsir to bring meaning to their reading.
Once a student has gained the appropriate level of confidence and accuracy in their reading, they graduate to our Khatm class. Here progression is individual and students are expected to practice daily to perfect their recitation. Students are taught the rules of Tajweed at greater depth and work towards gaining ijazah, insha’Allah.
